Help with screws

I have a chinese cube and it is horrible with screws. It is pretty cool on turning, but i can't modify the tension - if the screws are in original state(maximum screwed inside), it is too slow for me, but if i screw them out a little bit, they just go out totally. What could i do to make it OK escept buying a new cube?

you could try geting a new core or a spring and screw set. that would be cheaper then buying a hole new cube.
