[Help Thread] Huge Blind Discussion

Does anybody know a Megaminx tutorial that teaches with an OP-style method? TheGrayCuber only teaches Orozco, and I think I've heard of an OP Method for MegaBLD but couldn't find a tutorial or way to do this myself.
That is not possible, you can't do a two swap on corners on a megaminx, even if edge swaps are also allowed. One turn is a 5-cycle, which is an even permutation (maybe counterintuitive since 5 is odd, but what is meant it that the number of transpositions needed to reach the state is even, no matter how you do it) so you can never reach an odd permutation. On 3x3 you can reach any parity for a given piece type because a single turn is an odd permutation of both corners and edges.

Do you know this thread?
Maybe you find something useful for you there.

A pretty OP-like method for edges would be using this X-perm:

 Twizzle link
L' R' U2 L U R y L R U2' R' U' L' y'

Your buffer ist back-left and you setup to front-up. The left and the right edges are swapped each time so you'll have to setup without disturbing them.
If one of these edges has to be solved, a pretty easy way is to turn it away from the top-face before you start a new pair and put it back afterwards (or you can use the algs from my post on 3rd of June 2016 in the thread).

I planning to attempt 6bld after my competition in August 14th, do you guys have any recommendations on memorization order?
For context, I just use U2 and r2 for 4bld and 5bld (orozco for corners) and I'll do the same for 6bld

You can memorize the centers first.

Then the corners to determine parity and then memorize wings as per the parity, if you pseudo swap UF-UR.
