If you wanna solve the cube like that layer by layer, You have to learn commutators, and solve it piece by piece.

Unless your problem is that you can't solve the 3x3 LL on a 4x4 since you seem to know about parity... Just visualise it properly.

Yes you can solve the Revenge Layer By Layer, there is a guide at the official Rubik's site and you also get a booklet from Rubik if you buy a Rubik's Revenege. I think Google will help you

i just got a ES 4x4
i solved the first 3 layers, but im stuck on the last layer... its all weird, i dont have any parity or w/e. i only have the yellow center and some yellow pieces around it and stuff.
the first 3 layers are solved properly tho
please help me!
