One of the example I chose is 18 "moves as executed" (ETM), done in 2.36 seconds. The kind of thing I was talking about when I said "2 second LSE", so I don't see how the numbers work against me.
I obviously know Alex can't do LSE sub-2 consistently, but it's usually around that number, over or under by a little, hence why I didn't put sub-2 and just called it a "2 second LSE". When I said 2-second LSE, I didn't mean 1.9xxx. But basically, all you are saying is I shouldn't call that a 2 second LSE then, which I think we can just disagree at. Or that I should be "accurate" and call it "2.xx second LSE" in casual conversation, or even worse, "1.6-2.xx second LSE". In casual conversation? That just feels awkward to type out, I don't want to have to break out WCA, RCDB, etc for casual conversation. I remember telling non-cubers "the world record is 5 seconds" when they try to make conversation about speedcubing, and I don't see anything wrong with it (and saying 5.55 will just make me look like a nerd... not helped by holding a rubik's cube).
Also, I don't see how my post implies that I assume all LSEs are 18 moves. It's a number I commonly see in Roux reconstructions, so I assume is a common movecount for LSE.
EDIT: also, I usually do U and U' with the same finger, and just index push, I got used to it because my Z-perm needs that for no regrips. I won't deny the table can be a slowing factor (but nor will I agree that it cannot be trained around) but just saying, U and U' isn't the best argument..
