In your sub 9 you said to become CN. CN does not make much of an impact at all hence the fact that there are people such as lucas etter and philipp weyer who aren't even dual CN and many more who are only dual CN.

It saves 1 move on your solves, which is kind of a big deal when people are learning 100s of algs just to do that.

I really dont know what to do. I started cubing 3 months ago, I learned full pll, oll at the very begining, my f2l is very efficient, no regrips, few rotations, i know algs for almost every cases, every angles.
Still averaging 35s
Im like in quarantine, planty of free time, so im practicing 6 hours a day or more.

My huge problem, that i have pauses all the time. Takes seconds to find each f2l pair. When solving a pair already looking for other pieces, but i just cant see the whole cube. My cross is terrible too, tried to do blindfolded crosses, but its impossible. My reaction is slow at oll, pll, even that i practiced recognize from every angle.
From my knowledge is could be a sub 15-20 cuber, but my huge pauses slows me down extremely. I just cant find the pieces and my reaction is very slow.

Im good in learning new skills, but this cube is making me crazy. I practice hours and hours and i only have a very few improvement. Anyone else would stop cubing, but i just cant accept that im not good in this.

I was thinking maybe the problem is my age, im 35, at young age easier to learn cubing or mybe i practice too much and cant give full focus all the time.

Could you do a reconstruction or example solve? If I see one of your solves I would be able to help more effectively. If possible, a video of a solve/Ao5 would be better

You can be good! learning the algs is the hard part, I recommend learning lookahead and just practicing doing cross blindfolded but just doing as many cross pieces as possible and working your way up.
Spoiler: vids

@Zubin Park , sorry for mentioning you but im having a hard time trying to reach sub 30. I am around 35 seconds in 3x3, and i dont know what time to get my f2l to. Do you thing i should get 4 second cross, and 16 second f2l? My f2l has been stuck for around 17 - 18 seconds, and im trying everything, to turning fast, and not rotating alot. I always seem to get stuck at that part. My cross is also 4.5 seconds so ill have to fix that.

I was thinking maybe the problem is my age, im 35, at young age easier to learn cubing?

@Botond Don't discourage yourself at your age. While younger age might have a slight advantage to cubing, its usually because of memory, but you already know a ton of cases, so you have no problem with that. You should be able to turn quickly too, as fast as younger cubers. I think that main thing that is obstructing you from progressing, is your pauses as mentioned. I struggled with this for a bit, and now too, especially in F2L, which is really hard to find two pieces at once and match them up. There is a technique called "Look Ahead" where you have to look for your next pieces white solving your first pair. It is a hard technique to master, and I still work on it to improve. One way to improve is slowing down your turning to watch for pieces. There is a great video on this that I would recommend that I will attach. The last thing that I have to say is practicing 6 hours a day I think is a little too much. Practicing is fine, but when you practice that long, you can get overloaded and discouraged. Practicing for shorter bursts I found can be more effective, at least for me.

Try increasing efficiency in cross; J Perm has videos to help with that. Also, make sure you can always plan out all 4 pieces of the cross in inspection. For F2L, make sure you know all of your cases well and can do them quickly(whether you learn it algorithmically or intuitively, you should be able to do them quickly). Make sure your LL cases are fast and recognized quickly. You don't need 2LLL, 3LLL, just make sure you recognize and execute your 4LLL algs quickly(if you already know 3/2 look, then you should practice recognition/execution of all of the algs). At this point, F2L lookahead isn't really needed, so just practice executing the F2L cases quickly.

An example solve would help, or better yet a video.

I'm 35 years old as well, and I'm getting better everyday practicing around 1h per day, so I suggest you to don't get obsessed. Stop cubing for few days if it helps, and then come back with shorter sessions more focused on specific parts (algorithms, Cross, F2L, etc), and you will get better bit by bit. Try to have fun and don't push you too hard, because it makes no sense honestly... We cube mostly to have fun, so take it easy bro, enjoy the journey.

Get a 3 second cross, 16 second F2l and 5 second OLL and PLL. Watch J-Perms video on advanced F2L and, if you want to, start learning full PLL if you haven't already. But don't clog your brain up with too much information! I was in that same place about a week ago and I just did a bunch of solves and went from 33 secs to 29 secs average.
