I'm Rafael (he/it pronouns), I'm 22. I'm proficient in 3x3 and can solve without help (I know 2-Look OLL and know about 8 PLL algorithms), I know all but the parity algorithms for 4x4, and I can solve a Megaminx intuitively but know no official agorithm or method.
I first tried to solve by myself without help at 12 years old but couldn't figure it out or find an actual tutorial online. I didn't think about it for almost ten years. About two years ago I found a small terrible cube in a local shop and bought it and learned the beginners method. I played with it on and off but never really learned past that. A couple months ago I officially started learning CFOP and that started a deep dive to where I am now. My long term goals for cubing are:
1. I want to become Sub 15 in 3x3 (currently my ao50 is 1:23.09 with a pb of 49.94)
2. I want to learn Blindfolded 3x3
3. I want to become proficient in 4x4 and Megaminx
4. I'd like to compete in every event at least once.
And my short term goal is to make it to the second round of my first ever tournament coming up in a little over two weeks
Outside of cubing, I like games of all varieties (video, board, ttrpg, card), I like chainmaille, and I like fiber arts (embroidery, spinning, knitting, sewing). Thanks for welcoming me to the community
