Hello,

My name is Chance, I am 15, and I live in Texas, United States. I got into cubing around two months ago when a couple of friends from school started bringing Rubik Cubes with them and playing with them in class. (I noticed that one of those friends are registered here, but I doubt they know I am here yet.)

In the two months I have been solving the puzzles, I have bought 25 - 30 different types of twisty puzzles. (Currently waiting for 15 of them to ship to my house.)

I use the beginner method (learned from Dan Brown's videos.) I have managed to get 43 seconds using the beginner method, and am trying to learn F2L currently.

I am also a moderator of the online store CubeDepot, and I try to be active on the website as much as possible to help on the forums.

Can't think of anything else to say, so if there is anything else you want to know just ask.

Hallo Chance. Welcome to the site.
Your times with the beginner's method are good, but you should (besides learning F2L, of course) also learn 4LLL, which will help a lot. I learned a pseudo-4LLL since the beginning, and with no doubt about it, it will pull your times down.

I suggest you give each of your puzzles a bit of your time every day, or you'll end up having 20.xx second solves with the 3x3, 6 minutes with the megaminx, and over 15 minutes with the v-cube 7, like me. :fp :fp

Welcome to the forums!

I have learnt intuitive F2L and it is a lot better than the Full F2L in my opinion!

I also learnt off of Dan Browns youtube video, but decided to go 1 step further and try Fridrich method, and I am averaging at about 35-40 secs now!

Hey, it's good to have another Texas cuber. Do you live near Dallas, cause that's where a few of us have meet ups? Brendon might be a little faster then you, but you could take him. The next meet up is on July 24. PM me for details if you live in Dallas.

I don't live in Dallas, but I live 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from there.
