Hello all,

I'm from Washington State and have been cubing for about 6 months. I first learned how to solve a Rubik's Cube when a friend bet that I couldn't solve it in 2 minutes in a given amount of time.

I started looking more carefully at F2L only recently. I try to practice every day though! :D I have been using Rubik's brand cubes, and am looking around for other cubes to experiment on/solve faster. A friend of mine suggested that I start hanging out in this forum :)

I only have a 3x3 at the moment, although I am looking to getting a 2x2 and 4x4 soon.

My record is:
3x3: 48.97s <using cubetimer.com

My goal is to go sub-30 by the end of September, when I start college. I also need to learn how to successfully apply Jig-A-Loo into my cube. I'm really bad at it haha. .__.

Welcome!
A well broken in storebought cube can be a fantastic speedcube- don't worry about getting any particular special kind of cube.
As for lubing, it's far from an exact science. Pop out an edge piece, spray some lube on every surface you can see and some in the middle for good measure, pop the edge back in, and do some solves to work it in.
Again, welcome!

Welcome! For 2 years, my main was a broken in Rubiks. I got sub 25 averages.

To lube, pop an edge and spray 2-3 squrts in. Then break it in. If you lube too much with Jigaloo, it will melt the pieces and make the cube terrible.

Haha thanks you guys!

I'm from Seattle. :D Yes, I love the rain! Haha

Thanks for the tips about lubricating! Hopefully I'll start 'experimenting' with that soon. :)

DavidWoner: Thanks for the link! I like your avatar, by the way :)

Jukuren: Nice! Glad to meet a fellow Washingtonian here.

Zachtastic: Haha, joined that group about a month ago. Thanks though! I know some of them went up to Vancouver Open recently, and from the pictures, it seemed like a lot of fun!

Hello. I used a Rubik's Storebought to acheive sub-24 avg, so it's not really that bad.

zaKer: good to know! Did you lubricate your cube? My Rubik's is currently unlubricated haha

TheCubeMaster5000: I'm glad you like Seattle! xD Come visit a lot! Perhaps if we get some competitions going here, you can join us!
