I solved my first cube Thanksgiving 2011.

I learned 4-look last layer a few months later, then didn't solve a cube all Summer and promptly forgot it all.

I relearned 2-look OLL and learned full PLL in Fall 2012.

In December 2012, I stumbled upon Crazybadcuber's and Cyoubx's F2L videos, got hooked, and decided speedcubing would be a thing. I gradually learned full OLL over the next two months (sort of: a handful of cases I just solve as if they were 2-look except I have the second algorithm memorized).

It's felt like a long (and sometimes very frustrating) path since then, but recently sub 20 is feeling closer and closer:

Whenever I watch myself solving, I think my turning is atrocious and my recognition is sometimes off. In solve #1 in the video, I start a G perm and then backtrack when I realize it's actually an A perm. But, that means I actually know what I need to improve on!

I've been lurking on this forum for a while. This is my introduction!

Welcome! Nice cube and stickers... what cube is it? I also like your turning style. First solve seemed to flow the best except for a pause between cross and F2L. You'll be sub-20 in no time and then it's time to aim for sub-15.

It's a Zhanchi. Thanks!

I'm liking those colors on your cube. Welcome to the forums.

is the title of your thread a pogobat reference?

It's a computer programming reference. The first program you write when learning a language prints the phrase "hello, world".

Aw man your turning is gonna end up nice if you keep up like this :D
Since you're turning slow enough, you can look for the next pair while you do the current one. Do it!
Code:
++++++++++[>+++++++>++++++++++>+++>+<<<<-]>++.>+.+++++++..+++.>++.<<+++++++++++++++.>.+++.------.--------.>+.>.
