Hello, my name is Andy, I've been cubing on and off for years, i started in 3rd-4th grade after seeing a guy do it in 40 seconds or so, so then I began to learn the beginner's method (from the official Rubik's site) in 6th grade.
After learning it and showing off a bit I stopped doing so cause it had me branded as a geek and other derogatory terms used to define smart people. Later on in 8th grade I got back into it, yet still was doing LBL method.
Eventually (last year around March) I decided to learn CFOP.
I began with F2L from Badmephisto, from which I moved onto COLL and EPLL, which i have been practicing even now, and also after lurking on this site began working with look-ahead.
ATM I'm around mid-30's in CFOP and hope to improve, especially on my cross & inspection, as well as my memorization.
Here's just a quick video I made:
I've also just attained a 4x4 a few days ago (A Maru) and though my time is bad (xD 4+ minutes, that darn edge pairing.) I hope i can at least get sub-2.
(Note: Please ignore the audio in the 4x4 video xD especially the humming at the beginning and the stupid wannabe review at the end.)
anyway, I know I'll enjoy this site with people who share a similiar interest in the wonders of cubing from understanding the cube to speed solving it.
Also:4Chan, eastamazonantidote, & Jason Baum, from when I merely lurked around this site, from their accomplishments and info. on the ZB-Method got me thinking of learning ZBLL which I shall make an attempt to learn once sub-20.

Away from the cubing world I love anime and such, more so manga because well, you're forced into 24 min in a show, with a book you can read at your own pace (as well as no fillers and a complete story). My favorite genres are psychological, as well as mystery which is not restricted to manga, but real books too, that meaning Sherlock Holmes novels, Agatha Christie Books, as well as Carr's stories.
Other shows that I enjoy are cartoons (such as Scooby Doo Where are You?) from the 80s & prior, because they had an enriching plot, as well as were comical without the needs of absurdities and just well, being random; the shows from back then, in my opinion, had a more ligitament humor, as well as heart because they were all hand drawn.
My favorite types of video games are well...All & none, when I feel like playing video games I can play almost anyone of them except maybe shooters (with exceptions, an example being the 3rd Birthday, and another shoot'em up one for the Wii). The "none" part means that I've drifted from video games, mainly because I have other things and because what can one do once 100% is complete with the game.
My hopes for the future are to keep my 4.0 GPA, attain a 2300-2400 on the SATs, and hopefully (Like extremely hoping) that i get into M.I.T, and eventually get into a programming field job after studying various components within older technology and modern technology, as well as having studied quantum mechanics.
Edit: If anyone sees any lil' things that I have not mentioned above about my places that need work in CFOP, feel free to critique if it isn't out of your way.
