Hi and greetings,
my name is Hannes. I am new to this forum and kind of new to competitive cubing with now 4 comps done while my first one was in end of may. I've been cubing for a long time now, but only ever with some more or less sincere phases and little progress. Now since beginning of the year and especially since entering there world of competitive cubing, I am highly motivated (and considerably poorer uff).
What are my ambitions? I would like to become an all rounder, I think every event has its own little tweaks and can be fun to learn and improve in. But so far I am finding the blind events the most enjoyable by far. And in it I think 4bld is my favourite.
Other than that I think I could get into sq1, I find it very appealing so far.
My main method for 3x3 is - little surprise - CFOP, but I want to switch to APB. Next step there is to learn LXS, lets go.
My goal for this year is getting an official mean in 4bld and 5bld. (4bld was really close last comp with 2/3 attempts and the DNF could have been a succses with +2, if I hadn't instinctuavly tried to correct it after setting the cube down only to grab it in a different orientation and thus doing a wrong move, turning a mean with a +2 attempt into a DNF mean...)
If I see it correctly, by doing this successfully this year (hopefully) I could be the fastest cuber out there to fill up all currently 33 slots of the WCA profile after also filling the side events on the way there, with the fastes at the moment being 282 days. (https://jonatanklosko.github.io/wca_statistics/shortest_time_to_get_all_singles_and_averages)
So let's try and gooo!
Aside from cubing, I enjoy classical music and mathematics, but also spending time outside.
I am looking forward to getting to know you guys and connect to other cubers.
Finally, in order to finish the name of the thread, all there is left to say is: GENERAL KENOBI!
