Hello, My name is Walker, I am a 23 year old cuber from Arkansas, who recently moved to the DMV area. I have been cubing for about 13 years now (2013) and have always lurked on these forums, but thought I should go ahead and make an account LOL. I enjoy big cubes most recently, 5x5, 6x6, and 7x7, and have been improving quite rapidly at them. I first started cubing when my brother came home from school one day with a cube, and like every good little brother, I saw him have that cube, and vowed to be better than him at it HAHA, I started cubing and It did not take long for me to start beating his records and competing with him at home. We both (somehow) convinced our parents to drive us to a competition in 2014 that was about 8 hours away, and that set us off on our competitive adventure. I took a large break from cubing in 2018, wanted to focus on school/college applications. I'm not too sure what inspired me to come back, but one day a competition in Dallas, TX inspired me to go with my brother and start competing again. After that first comp back, I fell in love with cubing all over again and came back even stronger, I have since been to about 10 competitions since that first one back in 2024, and just completed my 1000 ever official solve! Me and my brother, Jackson, still travel to competitions together occasionally, although I am much more into it nowadays. Cubing has always been that one thing that I can just get lost in and keep learning, and thats part of the fun! I compete in *almost* all events (I dont do 4-5 blind) but everything else I love to do, I always just love being at every event in competitions, even though theres a couple I rarely practice (looking at you pyraminx).
I also enjoy creating art, listening to music, nerding out about film, and playing some video games. My favorite games are Destiny 2, League of Legends, and Geometry Dash (classic).
