Hi, my name is Young Fenimore Lee. I use a Stickerless Lubix Zhanchi. My record is 20 seconds. I got lucky. I average in the lower 30s. I originally learned how to solve the rubik's cube around fall 2012 using Dan Brown's tutorial. I'm pretty sure I averaged 1:45 or something, haha. I used a crappy picture cube with tons and tons of vaseline in it. I dropped it once, and the core split in half. :D I didn't really do much with the cube after that. Sometime around the end of June (last month) I saw a cube at the library (they're rich and have board games and stuff there) and tried to remember how to solve it, but couldn't. Eventually, I figured it out using the Dan Brown method again, but the cube was super stiff, and I didn't really want to use it to practice on anyway, so I bought one around July 25th, let's say. There, I began a quest to learn how to solve the cube faster. My first step was learning 2-Look OLL and PLL from BadMephisto, who I still look up to for cubing. Him and Feliks, of course. I then figured out how the rest of the way to get faster would go. I got used to solving the cross on the bottom, then learned F2L, which took a while, then learned full PLL. Right now I'm practicing my full PLL algorithms and trying to learn F2L lookahead. I'm on my way to learning full OLL, which I'm sure will take quite a while longer than full PLL took (full PLL took maybe 4 days). I pretty much cube all day, so I've been progressing pretty steadily. From what I see on the thread "How to get faster with Fridrich Method," it should have taken me maybe 7 weeks to get where I am now, and for me it's been 4 weeks. I guess I kind of have an advantage in the fingers department because of all of the instruments I play. I play cello, clarinet, and double for that on bass clarinet.

So hello, guys! :)
