Heise Parity?

I've been trying to learn step 3 of the heise method for fmc (solve two corners and last five edges) using the two pairs approach. I've somewhat grasped the concepts on the website, but I'm having trouble when there is uneven edge/corner permutation parity.
For example: scramble: B2 D2 B R L' D2 L R' B F' D B' D' F D B' D B D' B D2 B D'
I have a 1x2x2 block on U and another pair, but how can I insert the pair without messing up what I already have done?

if you want to be cool, you can use the speed-heise alg (R' U2 R' U2 R U2 y M' U2 M) with the pair over the slot. this kills ur other block, but it will give u a new (better) block :)

or if you are feeling inspired, you can insert the pair and then do left sune from the back R U' R' L U L' U L U2 L'

don't ask me how it works. i have no idea. i just write this stuff down.

but next time don't put green on D. that really makes my stomach hurt

Speed heise only works with oriented DFR corner, right? Or have you generated algs for all the cases?
The sune makes sense because it is essentially a u-perm and corner orientation alg, so it works out that it restores the edges from before.
Are these the best options for fmc? I've given up on efficient methods like heise in speed solves, so I'm only interested in move count, or would it be better to just make two pairs and not worry about the other edge until I'm ready to do all of them at once?
I still have issues though when the parity is different. I can't get the F2 conjugation to help and I still can't figure out what the B2 D' conjugation is good for...
What do you mean by "don't put green on D? Why did that bother you?"

yeah, i hate to say this, but there is too much freedom in Heise step 3. there is too much to look for.

that's why i generated the speed-heise algs; so that i wouldnt have to weigh in my head which blocks/pairs to do. I would just make a pair, and then insert it while forcing a commutator.

anyway, the original speed-heise algs DO work for DFR misoriented in some cases. because they move around U-layer corners, every alg has a possibility to force a LL commutator, even if the DFR corner faces outward.

and the conjugations are pretty easy to get used to, especially for FMC. if you type a random scramble+eo3x2x2 into cubeexplorer (within 10-12 moves of solved), a lot of the time you can decompose the solution (in part) to a conjugation of some sort.

and it's really hard for me to recognize anything but yellow/white on D, personally. but if you are color-neutral, then stick with it. (once again, the only disadvantage I can see is having TOO many options for expansion of the 2x2x2 block)
