I have been cubing for about a month now and really enjoy it. I bring my 3x3 with me everywhere. I have three 3x3's, an old relic, a rubik's brand, and a ShengShou Aurora. (That's it). I just ordered a YJ YuHu Megaminx, and the speed solving beginner's bundle from the cubicle.us.

I only know the beginner's method, but would like to eventually learn CFOP. I'm also thinking of learning Roux. Do you know a good method to learn before CFOP?

I eventually would like to learn 2x2, 4x4, Megaminx, Pyraminx, Skewb, and a couple shape mods. But, I've dedicated myself to learning 3x3 first. I've never been to a competition before, but I would really like to go to one in the near further. Living in South Dakota, there aren't many competitions close by.

My main 3x3 is the ShengShou Aurora. I hope to lube it soon. My 3x3 PB is 54.06 seconds. Please let me know how to get faster.

Good luck! Improvement should just come with practice. Keyhole as a method might be a useful method to learn before CFOP, but generally I would just recommend learning CFOP first.
