What are the guidelines for what constitutes necroposting? I'd like to ask a question in the thread Curvy Copter Discussion(New) which hasn't been active since December. Is it okay to post in there?

You can reply to any thread you like. Even if it hasn't been active for several years

This is a good example of where Bumping is encouraged.
This is a Help Thread/General Thread and it's purpose is also to have Information and Discussion in a dedicated space, so Bumping it would be okay, even it the last post was 3 or 4 years ago(maybe even longer, depends on the case, things can change dramatically in a short period, sometimes warranting a new thread)
The main point here is that you add to the conversation in a thread meant to be active for years.
Example, if there were single question threads about CC, necroing them wouldn't be that encouraged, but in a dedicated thread, it's fine.
