Bleh.
Honeslty could've gotten PR average in either round (counting 7.85 in R1 with 6 F2L pairs 🔥), but I'm not fussed, I'm sure I'll get like 6.4 soon if not faster.
Also the 5.79 was stupid, likely should've been low 5 at least without the LL fumble. Idk when I'll get a good single but I don't really care.
Pleased with my solving today, meh about the actual results. Next comp in 3 weeks, hopefully PR finally

I predict a 6.38 PR average from Gurshan Singh in three week
and a 5.53 single

also how in the world does one get a 7.85 with 6 F2L pairs😭

I wish my region would have as much as comps as norcal

Competed in WCA head to head yesterday! It was super fun.

My first match was against Kyle Santucci, and I came into it with 0 expectations (because it's Kyle). I started off with a nice 6.03, which beat his 6.08. I then got a 5.8 (losing to his 5.7), a 6.5 (losing to his 6.1), and a 7.8 (winning vs his 8). This tied the match 2-2 going into the last solve. I solved pretty well, but messed up the PLL a bit, getting a 6.8. Kyle ended up just barely edging it out with a 6.7, but ended up getting a plus 2, winning me the match.

I faced my friend Zane in the semifinals. Both me and him did pretty well, with stretches of great solves and stretches of pretty bad ones. It was a very close match, and it ended up going to the final solve of set three, where I won with a 7.14 vs a 7.43, qualifying me for the finals against Dylan!

I solved okay in finals, but I wasn't able to catch any momentum at all, which is to be expected considering how good Dylan is. Fun comp though, I did much better than expected in the head to head. Still no good ao5 in the regular rounds, but the h2h performance definitely proved that I should have at least a 6.3 PR average if not faster. Hopefully soon!

you WON against KYLE SANTUCCI AND MADE IT INTO THE FINALS????
im so proud of you

Planning to practice a lot more soon as well (maybe prime 2023 numbers? I have quite a bit of time now).
So far, my main focus has been fixing my last layer, since thats one of the things I tend to mess up the most. On Monday, I switched my main algs for both R perms to the RUD algs, and made sure to learn the proper way to execute them. I then drilled them 200 times that day, and another 200 times the next. Today, I switched my algs for OLL's 55 and 56 (I used to use some stupid two look alg lmao). Tomorrow, I'll drill those more. I've started working more on my inspection and lookahead as well.

I haven't done many solves, and instead have been cleaning out and setting up all of my main contenders. I haven't really been liking the v10 recently, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to switch. Going back and forth between Ferrocore/V11/V5 at the moment. I'll be spamming out solves in the next few days and hopefully make a decision.

Haven't done much 4x4 at all since January, but I will 100% start grinding that too, starting next week.

Senior year is over! That means it's time to actually grind, something I haven't done in ages. I practiced a lot for like a week in April/May, but stuff caught up.

From worlds (July 2025) to the start of June 2026, I did 17,000 3x3 solves, which is a little more than 50 per day. I think practice volume has been my biggest issue in recent years, so I'm aiming for 200+ solves every day. I want to do more solves this summer than I've done in the past year, we'll see how it goes.
