After thinking about it a lot, i've also removed 5x5. I wasn't sure I wanted to do this (and I'm still not completely sure lmao), but I think it will be good for me, as it will give me a lot more time to practice 4x4. I'm not going to completely stop practicing though, 5x5 is and will probably always be in my list of top 3 events, and I still want to get at least sub 1 minute officially, which does require quite a bit of practice. But specializing in just 3x3 and 4x4 will probably give me much faster improvement in these events.

I stopped practicing around a month ago, but I had finished CLL and had good recognition/recog when I was at my peak. My global was probably around 2.7 around then, but I average like mid 3 now.

Hi, I'm gsingh. I'm a speedcuber from Northern California who learned how to solve a cube in 2019. I have been speedcubing since January 2021. My main events are 3x3 and 4x4, and I also do 5x5 sometimes. (I used to also practice 6/7/OH, but I don't anymore). I average around 7.1 seconds on 3x3. My goal is to become world champion in 3x3 and 4x4.

I've realized that I need to work on ability to do yellow cross, since even though I am technically dual color neutral, I still have a bias towards white cross during my inspection, and I'm also a little bit slower on yellow cross since my lookahead is worse (I'm not that much slower, maybe like 0.2, but it's noticeable). I think just spamming more yellow cross solves should do the trick, so I'll get around to doing that this week.

Interesting, I started dual neutrality averaging like 30-40 and I seem to be biased towards yellow! My times for each cross are the same though.

I tried learning 7 Simul during winter break (Tommy's original version), but I gave up after the first day, and I think I only got one success, if even. I'll try to stick with it this time, 7 Simul Flip seems more fun then NoFlip.
