I got a very nice 7.65 tied PR Average in R1 (on a pretty mid scramble set), and then got a 10.07 average in the second round (cubedrop, lockup, pop, lockup, and then cubedrop, I'll link a video soon), which didn't even get me to finals. I really need to stop selling, I feel like my comp results are getting worse recently.
2x2 was horrendous but I somehow made finals.
I did not beat @Bababooey6969's skewb single.
My next comp was supposed to be next week, but I want to take a break from competing and try some new things in practice and hopefully lower my global to confidently sub 7, so my next comp will probably be in a month or so.

I want to layout a practice schedule for myself (from now until Western Champs) so that I don't get lazy and actually practice 4x4 and 5x5 like I need to.

4/1 - 4/26: 1 hour of 3x3 inspection/Iookahead practice, 1-2 hours of 3x3 solves (at least 150 solves per day), and 1.5 hours of 4x4.

4/27: Comp with 3x3 and 4x4, goals are sub 7 3x3 average and sub 33 4x4 average

4/28 - 5/17: 1 hour of 3x3 inspection/Iookahead practice, 1-2 hours of 3x3 solves (at least 150 solves per day), and 1.5 hours of 5x5.

5/18: Comp with 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5, goals are sub 6.8 3x3 average and sub 1:05 5x5 average

5/19 - 6/1: 1 hour of 3x3 inspection/Iookahead practice, 1-2 hours of 3x3 solves (at least 150 solves per day), and 1.5 hours of 5x5.

6/9: Comp with 3x3, goal is sub 6.7 average

6/1 - 6/15: 1 hour of 3x3 inspection/Iookahead practice, 1-2 hours of 3x3 solves (at least 150 solves per day), and 1.5 hours of 4x4.

6/15 - 6/21: 1 hour of 3x3 inspection/Iookahead practice, 1 hour of 3x3 solves (at least 100 solves per day), and 1 hour a day doing either 4x4 or 5x5, alternating every day

Also, how do you do inspection/lookahead practice?

Inspection practice is just timing inspection + execution of whatever my target is, whether it be cross + 1, cross + 2, xcross, etc.
There is also this practice drill that I do a lot that helps with both inspection and lookahead. I basically just scramble the cube, then I plan cross + 1, and execute it. Then I plan my next two pairs, and execute them. Then I plan my last pair + eo, and execute that. It's a really helpful drill, I highly recommend trying it out.

I didn't want to get the WRM since I have large hands, and a lot of top solvers have switched to the VinCube so I figured I'd try it out.

I have massive hands and I find the WRM to be really good, even with that issue. But I can see why you bought the VIN.

First time doing yellow cross during a 4x4 solve, surprisingly the reduction stage was really fast (20 seconds), but the 3x3 stage took 13 seconds without parity which is terrible considering I'm normally dual color neutral on 3x3, and I didn't even have to do cross lol.
