Mains and Goals for BASC 44 2023:

3x3: Sub 9 Average, PR Single
Cube: Angstrom Gan 12 M Maglev

4x4: Sub 38 Average, PR Single
Mystic Yj Mgc

3x3 OH: PR Average, PR Single
Cube: Gan 11 M Pro

Skewb: PR Average, PR Single
Cube: Meilong Skewb
The venue is a sports convention, and it's extremely loud and disturbing. It's messing up everyone's solves. I cube dropped on every OH solve because the commentator for the boxing tournament (IN THE SAME ROOM) would yell repeatedly.
On track to lose my PR streak (unless I do well in skewb)

Comp started off weird, then it got a bit quieter and I was able to get some nice results.
I failed a sub 8 3x3 average in R2 but we don't talk about that (the 9.79 was a plus 2 and the 12.18, I did the wrong pll and plus 2'ed).

Congrats! Sub-8 at westerns dw

There's a risk it was 9.79 indeed and scoretaker mistook judge's handwritting, in which case gsingh should contact the delegate to have his time corrected. But might just as well be a mistype here
Mistype, time was indeed a 9.74.

This reminds me of my official skewb PR single being 8.56 although i clearly recall getting 6.56. I simply don't care enough about skewb to ask them to fix it lol

Thought I'd update you guys on what I've been doing recently cubing-wise.

2x2: 5 solves per week goal

3x3: I've been doing lots of solves, and I've been trying to maximize my inspection abilities, and also trying to get T-ZBLL's faster than 2 look.

4x4: Lots of solves, a bit of OPA practice, and a lot of slow turning solves too, to practice my look ahead and efficiency

5x5: Just a ton of solves

6x6: Some solves here and there, but not really practicing rn

7x7: Nothing :(

3x3 OH: A bit of solves every week just so I don't get too much slower

Other: Trying to compete a lot, kinda working out, but I have had to miss a few comps this year and there are some more comps coming up that I can't go to. Grinding 3/4/5 because I want to make finals at western champs.
