got my 9spuzzles package yesterday

i was very excited to finally recieve my package from 9spuzzles yesterday, and i can say that i'm.. 50% satisfied? first of all, the ES 2x2 is great. it's already extremely smooth right when i took it out of the box. the black DIY (A) however, wasn't so great. i put it together, and before i finished, i knew it would be so great. the screw's threading is very long, and always shows when i pull the 2 center pieces apart. i think this has to do something with the cube not turning so well. it was very stiff when i put the whole cube together, and still not so smooth after i lubed it with CRC silicone. why is it like this? i wanted it to be my new speedcube, but i guess not

I ordered from cube4you and had the same trouble with the threading being too long on the screws. Once I assembled the cube fully the threading did not affect the performance like i thought it would. As for why it is stiff, I don't know, the cubes I got are wonderful.

I had the same problem with my new pink cube. I just silicone'd the crap out of it and now it feels like my other broken in DIYs. Try adding more silicone or playing with it more. It'll be a great speedcube in no time =)

yeah today was the second day i have lubed it. it feels a bit better i guess. another problem is that the cube doesn't feel smooth. like the cubies. i don't know how to explain it, but i guess it's the "edges" that haven't been cut too well. i'll play with it more. hope it goes well.

Try to sand it. I got my DIY 2 weeks ago, and it's killed by my wife, but therefore it works well. I got only one pop. You have to experiment with the tension of the screws and lube it well. I first thought, my DIY isn't better than the Storebought, but after the 2 weeks, now, I've to change to my storebought, and now I realize, how good my DIY was

Speaking of 9spuzzles, which store is better? Cube4you or 9spuzzles? I've only ordered from cube4you and I'm satisfied, but I dislike the puzzle prices and shipping rates. Otherwise, it's great!
