Good fast cross tutorials?

Hi people,

I searched but couldnt find a similar thread.

At the moment I do the cross intuitively, but people tell me that my cross is awful. I guess it is, it is taking me 4-6 seconds, and I align them straight off. Also some of the time I have to work the last edge out as I am solving the first 3. I cannot easily generate the alg for the cross before I start.

I have watched bad's advanced cross vid and I can perform the concept, but I still find it hard to see the algorithm I need to perform.

Are there any great tutorials that make a fast cross dead easy to understand? Hmm, sounds a bit silly asking that but hey.

Oh wait, this thread could yet be void... I am starting to get it lol. Just done 5 crosses blind.. I havent been able to do that before.

Yes, cross can be damn annoying initially mate. I am really only now beginning to completely click with it and it has taken a lot longer than full OLL, PLL, lookahead etc.

The things that helped me:-

Try and plan out the full cross even if you give yourself unlimited time to do it. Try cross only solves blindfolded. Also for me becoming opposite neutral helped a lot, if blue looks shocking I can always solve on green with very little difference.

I also found trying to think about the 'rules' in Badmephisto's videos helped. How many bad edges are there? Work out which is first edge, then how to place other 2 then where will 4th end up.

All in all it will come naturally but I found it comes naturally after most other stuff.

One thing you could do is use the Prisma Puzzle Timer, then there is a help option that shows you the optimal solutions for the cross for each scramble.
