Hello, everyone! :)

I find that I average between 17 and 20 seconds for 3x3, but my times are relatively sparse, and I don't know what's happening. Some days, I'll get a few 16s and 17s, while others I struggle to get 20. Any tips to stay more consistent?

When you're having a bad day, you should be able to identify at least a bit of what you're not doing well on that day.
For me more often than not it's my awareness of all the pieces, i.e. look ahead and LL cases recognition.
when i'm not doing well i slow down and think a bit more. it has to do more with your brain since your finger speed can't change much day to day.

well you don't exactly have to slow down your turning, but don't turn extra fast (during F2L) to try and get better times, 'cause that doesn't work.
and i don't actually literally turn slower, it's more of just smoother and with purpose rather than just finger tricking the hell out of everything.

edit: welcome to the forums!
