Getting Faster at 3BlD

I’m having trouble getting sub 10 for 3BlD and I need some help with it. Can somebody please help?

I use the Old Pochmann method and I’m a beginner.

To also mention, My global average is 11 minutes and I mostly need help with memorizing the letters (sometimes when I do BLD solves, I find that when I do memo corners and then edges, I forget corners and I end up scrambling all over the place to see where they were again)

Are you memorizing with letter pairs and images?
Try to reallvy visualize your first corners letter pair. In my case, as long as I remember my first corner pair, I will remember the other ones.

I am not good at 3BLD either but something I am trying to do to get faster is become more familiar with the lettering scheme because sometimes I end up taking 10+ seconds to memo a piece because I forgot what letter it was. If you just keep practicing memo and then focus on execution later you will be really good.

When I first learned 3bld, my solves also took 10+ minutes. I think that is common for a lot of people. At that level, you can get a lot faster just by grinding solves

After a solve think about what went well / didn't go well. Write down what you learned. Since your solves are so long, it is worth doing that after every solve

Edges only solves or corners only solves can help you with memorization, especially because that would break memo into more manageable chunks

Also something I do that may help and isn't as taxing as a full 3BLD solve is just doing the memo and then doing execution with my eyes open. This can help you in better understanding memo mistakes and can drill better muscle memory for letter pairs.
