Fun challenge: Solve a 3x3 while looking at the mirror

It is super fun to try this out. The lookahead definitely gets affected and our orientation and sense of the cube.

I have tried it a few times but never timed myself. Might give it a speedsolving try.

solving it aint too bad, but yea worse lookahead slows down the time by alot

I tried this out myself once, it is very confusing as I kept getting the left and right sides of the cube mixed up and often turned in the wrong direction.

I guess it might get easier after a lot of tries yo, new muscle memory and hand eye coordination has to be built.

This isn't really a challenge but you should try doing 2x2 scrams on a 3x3. It makes you feel faster than you are.

i just tried this out using my laptop screen as a mirror (counts, right?), and i struggled so much lol, i was doing F moves and I was wondering why it wasn't showing up on the reflection

I guess we can build triggers after practicing a bit

i actually plan on doing this in a separate session: seems like a fun way to see what's going on when i actually turn and to learn better ways to preserve pairs and to build better crosses!
