I really want to learn full fridrich. I know its a very common speedcubing method and that is effective for lots of people. So basically I have a few questions:

1. How many F2l, Pll, Oll algs are there to learn?
2. What is an easy and effective way of learning and memorizing the algs?
3. What speeds can you reach with fridrich?
4. I know that I can learn fridrich from badmephisto, but are there any easy to understand websites with alg diagrams etc.?

If you have any other tips about fridrich then please post them :)
(Are there any better or simple methods than fridirch which still can get good times)

I started learning fridrich a month ago? And my PB is improved ca. 25 seconds. I memorize only 10 algs right now. All are F2L-s :D I will start sealning LL algs nxt week.
1. 119 are together but you don't have to learn all of them in the beginning. Like I said... I use 10 F2L-s and my times are 25 sec. better :D
2. I wrote them down into a notebook and then just kept doing them. (20 times in a row?) and trying to without looking the algs... Then I waited a little bit. 5-10 minutes after I tryed if it's still remembered.
3. Read my first 3 sentences :) I know few guys who solve with 14-16 sec. Fridrich ;)
4. I used dan Harris website www.cubestation.com

Every method has been proven possible to get good times with.
And for number of algs, the F2L can be done easily with 0 algs. Many people don't use any algs for it.
The full OLL has 47 algs I think, but you can use 2-Look OLL, which has 7 algs for the corners. But it can be done only with F R U R' U' F', and sune
Full PLL has 21 algs, but 2-Look has 7. You can use only 2 algs for it though.

Learn F2L and the 2 alg OLL and 2 alg PLL. Then, once you feel pretty comfortable with F2L, start learning 2-Look OLL and 2-Look PLL/ 4LLL.

The best average speed is sub-11, and best single is 7.08, so it is considered "the fastest."

Watch videos for the F2L, but I used diagrams for the last layer.

Every method has been proven possible to get good times with.

Certain methods work for certain people, and some don't work at all. I would say that the face-by-face method, edges first method, and supercritical method are inherently slower than other methods because of how the steps are made. The Petrus method might work for people who like to solve intuitively, but if you want to rely on discrete algorithms, Fridrich would be better.

If I'm not mistaken these times were achieved by Fridrich plus other concepts outside pure Fridrichs.

@poster: But then again I wouldn't worry about these until you can't do any better with pure Fridrichs which will take you a while and you have times below 17 seconds. You can get sub 15 with pure fridrichs.

Best way to learn algs is to do them over and over again, and your hands will eventually learn them. I know 21 PLLs and 12 OLLs, but could not immediately tell you the alg, but my hands can perform it without thinking.

1. over 100... but you can take off 40 of them by doing f2l intuitively using your brain. With practice, it's just as fast and most cubers use it this way.
2. Just get it in your muscle memory
3. The sky's the limit =b depends how committed you are really...
4. Badmephisto has a website... badmephisto.com... it has diagrams.

1.F2L...42? You dont need to learn it. Do it intuitively, youtube has the answers. Oll has 57, you can do 2 look OLL which means you only have to learn 7 OLLs but its slightly slower. I use 2 look OLL and eventually I will progress to full OLL. PLL has 21.
2. I learned an alg and its mirror each day. To remember it, I grouped moves together into trigger-like motions and I eventually remembered them. If you get a case you are learning, make sure to execute it no matter how much it will effect your time.
3. No idea, people can get 11-12 averages with pure fridrich but I think its possible to stretch it further.
4. I used youtube, Bob Burtons website and a lot of randomly scattered websites from google to find the best algorithms that suit my style.

Initially, learning fridrich will slow you down slightly but keep at it and your times will start going down super fast. The most common problem with fridrich is that people usually rely on speed of execution which is not always the case for getting faster times. Fridrich method requires abit more thinking and recognisation speed is the key(?) I guess.
