Okay, I have a question for any cubers that speak French.

So, I have this French presentation thing, and I was wondering how certain puzzles would be said in French. I've tried dictionary.com-ing it, but, alas, to no avail.

Here's the list:

Megaminx
Square-1
Pyraminx
4x4 and 5x5 (to my understanding, they're written the same way, but how would one pronouce them?)

Thanks. (Hopefully I won't fail)

Those are names, so wouldn't the 'Minx's be pronounced the same?

Translate 'sqaure' and '1'.

This is just a guess though, until something who actually knows French can come along.

They're no different in French. These are names, and so they won't change. Pyraminx will stay as Pyraminx, Megaminx is still Megaminx, and Square-1 can be called Square-1, or Square-un.

However, the 4x4 and 5x5 would be quatre par quatre and cinq par cinq.

You're right, except that nobody I know says "Square-un". Everybody pronounces it the English way, "Square-one".

Ils ne changaient jamais.

Like names of people, I guess.
But those most certainly *do* change. Even between languages that have the same or similar alphabet, people often don't know how to pronounce foreign names correctly. And when e.g. Asian names are romanized, it can be not just hard but impossible to know what the correct pronunciation is, because some information is lost.
