First Competition...

Hi, I have been cubing for about 8 months now and have always wanted to go to a competition. I live in North Texas (The Remember the Alamo in San Antonio is approx. 4h. 30 min away) but don't have a ride to the competition. My mom would take me if there was one closer to where I live, but if the drive is over 2 hours away, I'm not going there. Should I wait until a future competition comes to Dallas or somewhere close, or just start one? I have no idea how to start one, but I know about the delegates and such so what should I do? I am very willing to do anything it takes to go to one- even if that means starting one. Any advice is greatly appreciated! And thank you for helping me!

Go to CubingUSA. They have a tutorial on that.

Yep, go to CubingUSA. Also, I would advise going to a comp yourself first, so you can get an idea of how the comp works and all the stuff. Hopefully you can go to a comp soon!
