Finding competition staff

Please let me know how many people are usually on a comp staff how do I find staff if I don't know a lot of people what does the staff ussualy do and how many people usually scramble every heat of the comp

What we do in our place is that people who don't belong to the particular heat scramble. Once their heat starts they can leave and people from the previous heat can scramble

Alternatively, you can have a random-interest group or some friends help staff.
This is generally not a good idea. Just having friends of the Organizer help usually makes for a poor staff. You want people who actually know how to run a competition to help you. I generally do not allow the organizers I work with to allow friends on staff (with waived registration fee) if they haven’t helped in the past.

I’ve heard it work, but I understand what you’re saying.
