I ordered an eastsheen 4x4 from cube4you, and was going to hold off on buying a 5x5, but i decided to bite the bullet and went searching for one, iv called every damn toy store in dallas Tx including Target, Toys R us, Puzzle zoo, Game Chest, Learning express, and some really sketch places, and they are all out of stock! Its crazy, and 2 or 3 of them told me that the manufacturer failed to deliver the order they placed for this month, and they should have them in soon, they hope. id rather go out and pick one up, then order it online, is anyone having trouble finding big cubes in stores in thier area? or is there a secret place im not realzing sells cubes lol.

That's really odd, I wouldn't think that the 5x5s would be sold out...

Maybe go to your local malls and scour every game shop there is? Alternatively, you could try to find a cuber that'll sell his/her cube...

Getting one online is the most reliable way of getting one... I have one from rubiks.com and a friend of mine has one from toysrus.com. Shipping was a lot, but the cubes were worth it. They're really different, too, the one from Toys R Us moves a lot more easily and requires like no break-in time, but my cube from rubiks.com never locks up and is easier to cut corners with, but the center corners twist out occasionally (also took about 1.5 months to break in, btw)... Just something to consider if you decide to purchase online.

Eastsheen is better out of the box than the Rubik's, usually.

After some wear, mine is majorly sucking and feels like it'll fall apart if I apply just a little too much force.

I've got an eastsheen and i love it. You have to be kind of careful though cause it doesn't take all that much to pop it, though you can avoid it if you're careful. I've played with one rubik's one and it sucked...it had only been used for a month or so, but i think it would take a ton of work to get it working slick...

I used like a full syringe of Cubelube and stood on my Rubik's 5x5x5 multiple times. It only took like a month and a half to wear it to what it is now. (Can't really describe it, but I'll let you see it if you go to the US Open)

Check ebay. I know Ian W. was selling big cubes for really cheap awhile back. He made a post in the speedcubing section a couple months back, so you might want to contact him to see if he has any left.

i got mine from cube4you.com it is a mini 5x5, slidly bigger then the 3x3. in east sheen style, the cube runns perfectly right out of the box. i m useing it for three weeks now and havent had a pop yet (not even close to a pop). i havent seen a revenge or professor at all in a shop. besides the shipping coast, the cube shouldnt be much more then the normal price, if you buy it over the internet. if you drive around looking for items like that, it will probably cost you more money on gas then the shipping. and you also save your frustration of not finding one at target, toysrus or where ever.
