I started OH about 2 weeks ago and II now average at 1:30ish.

I use a Ghosthand (which is not really helping) and a 4 look LL (since I can't seem to execute full PLL with OH)

1. How do I get faster?
2. Any tips to cure OH Amnesia?
3. Is banging the cube on the table (or mat, in the tournament) to set it right allowed?
4. Any other tips?

Practise the moves like Fs over and over till you can do it like second nature. OH amnesia..hmm, I relearnt all my LL algs, it shouldn't be that difficult. I don't think banging a cube on any surface be considered as legit, so don't get dependant. Get an F-II. This should help a bit. Best of luck with your OH.

Who says F-II is the OH cube?
1. Turn faster / practice
2. I don't know :D I just practice doing stuff OH
3. Yes, you can bang it down to set it right, just don't do it too much, its frowned upon generally *looks at kirjava* :D
4. Watching OH videos can help, if you look at the way pros do it, and learn some stuff from them, gripping the cube, double triggers etc.

Hmm, that link doesn't seem to be working for me. Http has been typed twice. I believe you are linking to lofty's site. This link should work.

aronpm: Is it not?
During the solve no other body part or any object other than the surface must touch the puzzle. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.
I may be wrong though, if this rule does not apply to table banging. If I am I'm sorry.

Jon: I didn't say F-II is THE OH cube, it's just nice for OH (for me) and I recommend it. Well, theace did say his GH isn't helping.. :)

Elliot: Yeah, I was trying to link to that page precisely, thanks.

theace: Sorry, apparantly the info I provided seems out, you should listen to these guys instead.

If you just started and haven't done any hand muscle activities (piano, etc) you want to strengthen your hand with R U' (or if righty L' U). Then, you want to just do a bunch of solves so that your hand is very familiar with the moves and you don't shake your hand.

Me! :D

Its also slow.

Do a lot of 2gen solving, and PLL time attacks.
A good way to get around OH PLL amnesia is to just learn the OH algs for PLL.
That way, you get rid of amnesia and you have good PLL algs.
