Hi! I have just decided to join the speedsolving forums after lurking around for a few months.
So about me, my name is Hersh Shrivastava and I have been cubing with a few breaks here and there since 2008 when i was in fourth grade. I have started to take cubing as a hobby more seriously after I went to my first competition which was Princeton Fall 2010 (I accidentally the first solve). I averaged around 36 seconds that time. My second competition was Liberty Science 2010 where i averaged about 25 seconds.
As for the puzzles I use and my times
Diansheng 2x2: 8+ sec (just started to actually practice 2x2)
Alpha V 3x3x3- 18 to 19 seconds
3x3 OH- 27 to high 28 sec
Dayan + MF8 4x4- about 1 min 40 sec (I fail)
Ghosthand 5x5- high 3 min to low 4 min
My goal is to be sub 10 on 3x3 by the end of 2011, most likely this won't happen though... anyway, I'm sure I will enjoy being apart of the cubing community!
P.S.- Anyone else going to the Park Ridge competition?
