Please give me some tips on improving my time to finish F2L. I am not a color neutral cuber. I find it hard to find pieces during the F2L phase.

Improve your look ahead. To do this, go as slow as you have to without needing to pause, even if it means taking 1 or more seconds per turn. But make sure that you take the same time for ALL your turns. Then, gradually increase your speed. This method made me drop 10 seconds off my time.

I forgot where I heard this but here goes: after doing a cross, find a corner piece, find the corresponding edge piece, notice where they need to go, pair them up and insert it into its slot without looking/with your eyes closed. Keep doing this with your eyes closed until you get it right every time. Now just do the same thing with your eyes open while looking for another corner and corresponding edge pair. Sorry if I'm bad at explaining but I tried :D

No, you explained it well. :tu I might try this if feel like it. It's good advice. :)

Yeah, really the only thing you can do is to learn to look ahead. I'm learning it right now. There are also some good tutorials on YouTube.

move slow
look ahead
do a couple of solve's without timer but try to find optimal solution

and of course: the 4 p's of cubing.

familiarize yourself with your F2L cases even if they are intuitive. Try finding the most optimal way to pair you corner-edge pair and insert it, doing this should take no more than 8 moves.
