F2l Help

I need some help with my f2l.

I timed my f2l(no cross) and I got it done in about 13 seconds then when I did it with the cross I got almost double that so how can I fix that?

I think it is the time it takes for me to get the cross and looking for my first f2l pair that slows me down.
