You should scramble with white top and green front, but most people solve the cube by rotating so that white is on the bottom.

As these computer-generated scrambles all result in a solved cross on the D face, it doesn't matter which colour orientation you use. I'm a blue cross solver, so I just orient my cube blue-on-D ( and White-on-F, for consistency ) before scrambling, for example.
