Hi everyone!

My name is Kim-Lan, and I am quite eager to be joining this community. My older brothers were really into cubing when I was younger, so I have known how to solve a Rubik's cube for many years using just the Beginner's method. For awhile, I was simply satisfied with knowing just the one method of solving a cube, and I wasn't concerned with my speed or anything like that. However, just recently, I have really gotten into speed cubing along with many of my friends. I even managed to get both of my brothers back into it!

In any case, I attended my first competition over the weekend. Although I was not brave enough to compete this first time, I enjoyed seeing how cubing competitions are run and being surrounded by all of the skilled cubers there. It was definitely a worthwhile experience, and it has inspired me to contribute more to this community.

So to start, I just wanted to introduce myself, and perhaps get to know a few of you a little bit.

Go to Nats, it'll be fun.

EDIT: I'm stupid, I read "Southern California" as "South Carolina". Still go to Nats if you can make it though.

So... what are your times 'n' stuff?

Oh, I wish I could go! I think it would be unlikely though.

Also, I'm currently averaging around 40 seconds for the 3x3, maybe a second or two above that. And I haven't spent much time with any of the other puzzles yet
