DOH! I should have thought of that 4chan...I apologize! Thread might need to be closed soon, sorry admins :(

4chan care to post some other algs that don't use slices?

Edit: I got a little unlazy and googled vhf2l algs:

y R' F' R U2 L R' F' R L'

That's for what you posted. The alg I found for case 3 (RUR' trigger) on the site I first went to (and what you linked me to, 4Chan) has a much worse alg than I found :P

While we're at it, how do you partial edge control R U R'?

At this stage I just make the pair, then partial edge control R' F R F', but that is way too inefficient.

I would just do R U' R' and then use one of the block cases. Or am I misunderstanding you?

I think you understand me. Because that's what I do (R U' R' U2 R' F R F'). Unless I misunderstand you :p

Dene: The alg I posted in the first post (and the one Lucas said he likes to see what it does without guessing around) does full edge control on the dot cases for the RUR' case. Unless you're looking because you have two oriented edges and want to orient the other two (I plan on making some algs for when the RUR case turns into the line and the r shape, but that'll be later tonight).

Lucas: I agree, I like to see what it does on the cube as well. Except it kind of hit me at once. I remember thinking in my head, oh man, that's why it's like OLL 17 (I think that's the right one, w/o referencing my first post), because I just do two R' F R F' triggers with a U2 allowing the pair to come back over. Once I realized that, the whole move made sense, and why doing R U' R2 F R F' worked. That's when I was like oh man, with Case 3 for VHF2L, I can just do a nice U, R' F R F' U2 R' F R F'! I like that alg better than w/m slices :P

Now I now longer have to learn dot OLL's! I just wish I would have looked at this before Indiana Winter 2010, might have shaved a few seconds off as I'm slow orienting 4 edges with the back to back trigger, plus a COLL (not ot mention I always end up with oll 23!), so knowing this would have came quite in handy. Also why I plan to make the algs for the two edges already orienetd.

This is an RBU so I guess it still works, but fingertricks didn't come natural right off the bad (but I just made this so it might take a bit of tinkering):

R B' R' U' R B R'

This is for Zava's alg that he posted, except I prefer right handed algs.
Zava: Thansk for giving me one alg for the horizontal line! One less to go! That's for the L U' L trigger though, I need to mirror that for the RUR' trigger :P L F' L' U' L F L' but I'd really like to find one for R F U instead of L F U :P

So after a little bit of toying around in cube explorer, I can't seem to find a move smaller than 12 or 13 moves, thus making RUR' F RUR'U' F' more efficient (or the other one). Oh well, was worth a shot :P
