Dutch Open 2010

It was cool meeting Ayano Yoshida and seeing some old friends like Rama again. Also happy with 26 FMC :) Cudos to Corny.
New cube bought: Latch cube, a really cool cube. Took me like 45 mins to solve on Saturday, will make a vid soon! (of sub-10 mins hopefully ^^)

Personally I like the DCD at Eindhoven a bit more to be honest, thought we got a bit less for the €20 than other editions too.

I pretty much screwed up bigtime.

3x3: 40.53 1:17.93 1:06.50 38.40 28.08
I haven't had a 1:00+ solve for over a month and now I get 2, 1 because of screwing up Y perm and the other one something similar.

4x4: 3:50.16 4:04.15 5:48.84 3:16.41 2:46.30
5:48 is my worst solve ever. I did something wrong while doing OLL parity and had to start literally all over.
4:04 is also pretty bad, I had 2 pops, 1 after I finally put the piece back in.

Bad start for my WCA profile :(

Cool competition, second comp for me in a foreign country (both in a row :D). Finally got the German single 3x3 record back (8.56 2nd round, but that was broken by Max with 8.22 5 minutes later :p). I also got a 9.68 avg (NR and 3rd in the world!!!) in that round with a counting 8 :), but I was still a little upset that I lost my single NR again... In the finals I did quite badly on the first 3 solves (11,11,15), then I put some lube into the cube (thanks Fabi <3). The next solve was a 10.65, which is decent. Then the final solve of the entire competition: Pretty fast cross, NO lookahead during F2L, an awkward shape OLL (Antisune+FRUR'U'F') and PLL SKIP(!!!), I had a very fast recognition because I already thought I might get a skip or a U-Perm. For half a second I was stunned and then I realized that it said 7.96 on the timer! :O Amazing moment, I am so happy! 10th in the world and NR! My average was 11.39 which gave me second place :) My best place ever in a competition.
Other good results: 20 second OH average 3rd place, 1:24 BLD solve 2nd place, 2x2 3.28 avg 2nd place and Magic 1.13 avg with sub-1 single after 6 months of not practicing, 1st place :D I also got a 20.41 single with Square-1 which is very, very good for me. And Sébastien taught me how to efficiently solve a clock :) Thanks!
All in all a nice competition and definitely an awesome weekend. Also, thanks to Maarten and his family for the accomodation. noo *finger* :D
