Hey everyone,

I decided now is probably a good time to make a progression thread. I don't practice many side events, I am more interested in smaller NxNs and megaminx. I sometimes practice OH but rarely.

Here are my estimated globals:

2x2: 3.8-4.3
3x3: 13.5-15.5
4x4: 44-50
5x5: 1:29-1:35

OH: 35-45
Megaminx: 2:05-2:30

I would like to improve in mega the most. I am a 2x2 main who uses Ortega and LBL on occasion. I don't know any advanced algorithms and I don't really plan to for 2x2.

I also occasionally do 6x6 and 7x7. I have the MoYu flagships, but I don't practice them enough to really give an accurate estimate.
Inaccurate estimates:
6x6: 2:45-2:55
7x7: 3:50-4:05

I guess my first post in here can be this crazy scramble I got today.

single: 2.890

Time List:
1. 2.890 R F2 U' F2 U R2 U F2 R' U'

 Twizzle link
 Setup
R F2 U' F2 U R2 U F2 R' U'
 Moves
x2 //inspection
F (R U R' U')3 F' //OLL
U2 R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' // TPERM
U' //AUF

//31 moves
//10.72 TPS
//2.89 seconds

I did the most basic of solutions and still got a sub-3, at almost 11 TPS.

After the fact, I found a more advanced algorithm that is far fewer moves but is a little slower in my opinion. I retried with that solution and got a mid-3 single. Still a crazy scramble regardless.

Is that algorithm the 9 mover(F R2 U' R2' U' R2 U R2' F')? That should definitely be faster, I would recommend starting to learn CLL. I was also averaging similar with Ortega/LBL and was really regretting not learning CLL sooner.
