Dual Round Decathlon 2026

[OtaMota]

Hello, welcome to Dual Round decathlon 2026

In the recent 2026 WCA regulation update, dual rounds were introduced. What they are is where you do a combined 2 rounds, and the best avg of the 2 rounds, is what is used to rank you across the 2 rounds. (Hope I explained that correctly lol)

Most events will have a dual round, but not all of them, as to preserve my sanity and the timeliness of the comp

There will be 10 events.

3x3: First Round: Dual, Finals: Dual
2x2: First Round: Dual, Finals: Single
Pyraminx: First Round: Dual, Finals: Single
4x4: Finals: Dual
OH: Finals: Dual
Skewb: Finals: Dual
5x5: Finals: Single
Megaminx: Finals: Single
Clock: Finals: Single
Square-1: Finals: Single

The order of the rounds will be determined by RNG.

“WCA Live”: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TYZzYbVY2rfa8ZDCK5tdSpI8OI3i93Ae1V6UOihzsDI/edit?usp=sharing

Rounds will last 1 week, and will start either on Wednesday 12:00 UTC, or Sunday 00:00 UTC (There will be 2 rounds happening concurrently)

Advancement: Top 33% advance (Edit: Jan 31, 19:58 UTC)

Late-Comers policy: Late Comers can join in the middle of the comp, except for final rounds that have a prior round, where they didn’t participate in the first.

Comp will start Wednesday February 11th, 12:00 UTC
