What do you think? Do you find you are slower or faster with certain sticker shades or sticker sizes? Or do you even resticker your puzzles? I'm interested to know what everyone thinks. Partially because I am wondering whether I should buy stickers or not.

I always resticker my cubes so they can be identified. I love my shades! I don't think I'm faster with them tho.

i definitely think that sticker shades make a difference to create maximum contrast which helps with recognition. stock stickers usually have dull shades so the colors don't pop out as much they are also quite small compared to cubicle custom cut stickers which cover more of the surface. sticker size also makes a difference to a certain extent, but i suppose you will get used to any stickers if you practice with them enough.

I tend to be faster on smaller stickers, possibly placebo though, as I have a bias towards smaller stickers in the first place. I hate great area covering, and further move full fitting stickers.
As for shades, they does not really make a difference for me, except when going from bright shades to less bright shades, the less bright shades tend to seem more muted than how I usually remember them, and this 'color muting' takes some time to disappear.

THIS.

Dull shades like the Dayan ones slow me down quite a lot. I don't mind either square or fitted stickers, but if square ones will go over the edge of the pieces then fitted all the way.
I think full fitted is a little too extreme though.

yeah i think full fitted will be more prone to chipping aswell, my cubicle stickers chip so much anyway around the outside especially white and blue. is it just me or does this happen to other people?

I have heard that non-fluro shades chip way more easily. (I am assuming you use full brights with a deep blue)

Nah I think it's just that full fitted stickers have much much less margin of error. The normal fitted stickers can be slightly off to one side or slightly tilted and externally it's fine but full fitted needs a scary level of accuracy.

sticker shades affect my time if they're dull like Shengshou and Dayan. My sticker shades are really bright and even Moyu shades look dull compared to them. I don't know about sticker size though, I like fitted stickers but I agree With Guysensei that full fitted are a little too Much.

I don't replace stickers unless they're to the point where they may not be allowed in competition, since they honestly don't make a difference for me.
