Many friends may have tried the Cyclone Boys, which is really worth trying, if you haven't. Now I'd like to share a news about the assembled Cyclone Boys 3x3 Competition Version. Some people may have seen this in lightake.com

If you like DIY cubes, and wanna have a Cyclone Boys 3x3 competition version. You can try it. We have sent some DIY Assembled Cyclone Boys to some cubers, and they will make videos of the whole assembled process. I will share the videos here when the videos are done, hope you will enjoy them. :o

What exactly is the news here? That we can now buy a 6-pack of CB cubes and reassemble them in single colour plastic to be competition legal? Thanks but no thanks. Calling that a "competition version" looks like a hilarious sales attempt to downplay a major oversight by the manufacturer, which is that most speedcubers prefer single colour plastic plus stickers, whether competing or not.

(For what it's worth, I personally only buy black stickered cubes and would buy all of the CB cubes if available in that format.)

Edit: Just found this. Shouldn't this be the "competition version"? http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.Cyclone_Boys_3x3x3_Magic_Cube_Heat_Transfer_Printing__55mm__White-49909

I don't think so, because of the printed stickers, and the new WCA regulations are not allowing this if I'm correct.

Anyone else finding these "Need 10 tester" threads to be getting a little out of hand?
Now they are just flat out advertising deals from their shops, which is fine, but shouldn't these threads at least be kept in the Puzzle Shop section.. Isn't that the whole point to a company paying an annual fee to advertise in their own thread?
I fully support these types of threads but would be mad if I was a shop like TheCubicle because they actually buy a shop thread in the Puzzle Shops section and then rival companies who don't pay for one get free advertising from all of these "10 testers wanted" threads in the Hardware Section.

It is. Also it would most definitely be comp legal. It's like the Force Cube. Those stickers aren't printed.

All I hope is that cube stores do this for us so consumers don't have to buy 6 cubes. Unless they sell the whole thing for 20 dollars, then I'm fine with it. XD
