Hello, I am a female cuber from San Gabriel, California. (Sorry for the delayed introduction- I have terrible short term memory ). I've been cubing for about 2 weeks, and I've gotten down to about a 38 second average and 26.51 seconds as my single record. Yeah, I know I suck. I think I got really interested in the Rubik's cube because an aspect of it was like a branch of mathematics that I found really interesting. That and my sister already knew how to solve it, so I felt compelled to do the same.

How do I fix the tension on a cube? Someone else kind of played around with it and I don't know how to make it feel even again.

o_O You've been cubing for two weeks and you're that fast already? That's not slow at all.

And what cube are you using? If it's not a Rubik's brand and it's a DIY, take off the center caps (a.k.a. center pieces) and tension the screws on the insides. If it is indeed a Rubik's brand, sorry, can't help ya there.

Finally, welcome to the forums! I hope you have a good experience here.

EDIT: -_- I hate being ninja'd.
