Thoughts on the puzzle:The DaYan Stickerless ZhanChi is a excellent puzzle, being very smooth right out of the box when I bought it. The puzzle as I said earlier, is extremely smooth when I just got it, with also not much means to have to lubricate and tension it. Solves I do should be much faster than a Rubik's brand, as I have switched to better quality brands about a month ago, any breaking in for it should occur after some time.

There is one slightly negative thing about it, some of the corner pieces are slightly wobbly, and I am not sure about the cause. It may just be just the tensions as I have no problems with pops. Any other people with Stickerless ZhanChis who will write a review, please tell me what your experience if you have some slightly wobbly corner pieces.

I hope this helped!

This is the cube to have. The closest thing to the perfect cube. This thing is simply the best cube on the market. Its smooth day an plastic and design make this the best feeling and most enjoyable cube to solve. Corner cutting and m slices are effortless. This cube is fast smooth but click and is just pure awesomeness. No one can go wrong with this cube. This cube is be far the #1 cube. Buy now!

This is also my feeling about this cube. I have a Moyu Aolong v2, a Moyu Weilong v2 and a Fansghi Shuanren but the Zanchi is my favorite cube. This cube feels just right in my hands, perfectly balanced and smooth, I have a smile on my face each time I have it in my hands.

My mom got me this cube as a valentine's day present. When I did my first turns, I was surprised at how blocky it felt. Compared to my Yuxin 3x3, this cube feels dated and stiff. I disassembled the cube and found that one of the screws was very crooked. Slightly crooked screws are fine because few cores are perfect, but this one was very crooked. Also, some of the screws were majorly stripped, which I found to be offensive.

This cube just doesn't feel comparable to newer speedcubes. It's blocky, not very fluid and locky. It pops a lot too. It's a good collectors item but it is nowhere near the top anymore.

You just got a bad one.

No, I have had 2 before this and they felt the same. Keep in mind that the Yuxin 3x3 which I'm comparing it to is possibly the best 3x3 on the market. The Zhanchi just hasn't held up that well. Sure, it's speedcube-able, but it's just not the best anymore.

Ok then. Yuxin taking over moyu's monopoly (well sort of) I see. Now to overthrow the dayan 2x2....

I used to love my Dayan Zhanchi for about 2 months when I was averaging in the:P 30s and 20s, but I think I ruined it :P
It was getting a little stiff after a couple months so I started pulling on the modes every once and a while to stretch it apart, and I think I pulled too hard and stripped one of the screws or something because it started popping like every 3 solves and felt horrible. So, I tried to set the tensions and ended up making it worst. I made sure the tensions were equal using some tensioning methods but I found out some of the screws in the cube were crooked. My dads Zhanchi is still great though, and I used to still use it for one handed (Until I started lubing my new Moyu Aolong). XD.

I NEVER had one but I wont get one. Getting a New cube. I have only solved a 2x2 then I would solve a 3x3. I am getting Fangshi's Newest cube. I belive it is better

You must have them set up badly, I don't have many issues with mine. or your turning style doesn't fit the cube.

Judging by your message, I'm thinking that you think that the Zhanchi is still the best cube. Because the fact that it's not as good as other cubes is kind of an issue in itself since Dayan hasn't come out with a better cube.

I lubed mine with weight 3 after like 10 solves. It's just the cube itself- People need to accept that better designs have come out since. It actually doesn't pop as much as I remember, but it's still extremely blocky by today's standards.

Plus, better cubes such as the AoLong or Yuxin 3x3 don't need to be set up. You can literally never lube them and they'll perform amazingly.

Seriously?

Of course. I don't tolerate bad quality control because quality control is the responsibility of the business, not me. That's how capitalism works. Please stop defending poor quality control- As a consumer, you have the right and responsibility to demand better.

Me neither, although for some people, the ZhanChi is very good, due to the smooth feeling. Nowadays, cubes is based on the feeling. Basically every respectable cube can corner cut way more than we will need, and it is down to personal preference. For me, it's not my main, but still ranks up there, in the high places of best speed cubes. It is also my backup main, even though my first one broke (I hate Dayan's quality control, but when it is a good ZhanChi, it's good), my second 55mm one is great. I love the feel of it, and how it is faster than the AoLong V2, which makes it just slightly uncontrollable. So, when is Dayan coming out with a new cube? Or are they inactive?

I Wasn't saying it was the best cube, I prefer my Shuangren v2. (don't have the Aolong or Yuxin yet so I can't judge If their better or not)
I was simply saying a possible reasons why your zhanchis may not be that great. Their definitely not perfect e.g. they pop on looser tension
and are a bit catchy at times plus Dayan's bad quality control (one of my screws was stripped)
I'm saying this because i don't have many issues with mine ( I'm not very picky with hardware though)

@Seanliu I think Dayan is coming out with a pyraminx.
