Dates and Averages

I started Speedcubing in Mid-December, so 4 or 5 months now, and my average 16 or 17 seconds.

I'm going to make a clarification. This is when I started "speedcubing", and just speedcubing.

I actually started "cubing" when I was 4, my uncle taught me how to solve it with a REALLY slow method that I never timed myself on, I'm guessing about 8 minutes possibly? And I was just solving it for fun, never timing myself. Then when I turned 7 I got a new hobby and quit cubing. Then when I was 11, almost 12, which was in December, I started "speedcubing"

So I've been speedcubing for 5 months, and cubing for 8 years.

I started about 2 and a half weeks ago and can average about 50 seconds with intuitive F2L, 2-Look OLL and nearly-full PLL (except for G Perms which I haven't learnt yet, cos they look really hard to recognize)

P.S. And yeah, I've been cubing heaps, cos its the school holidays and I have heaps of time to myself.

Wow, I feel bad... I average 50 seconds and started about the New Year... I feel slow..... :( Everybody else on here that started around my starting time is like 30 seconds...

You are not alone!:)

I started (speed)cubing (I already desided to try speedcubing before I bought my first cube) in the beginning of this year and have a avarage of 45 sec with intuitive F2L, 2-Look OLL and nearly-full PLL. But the times can vary + -15 sec from my avarage.

Because of training about 5 hours a day the two first weeks with an evil store bought cube(the time I did´nt know about the speed cubes), I got "cube thumbs", "cube wrists" and small other injury feelings that has take time to bee quit and many days without cubing. Now I have to be careful...even with Diy-cubes, the injury fellings are around the corner....hopefully it will dissapear 100% some day.... Lucky you guys who can practice hours and hours every day and feel nothing!:)

Do you practice continously for a long time? If you don't, try to stop and do other things in between. I generally have some computer game running which I switch back to every few solves. I can never do 12 solves in a row, my times will decrease to like 1-15 to 1-30, and my hands will get really sore. However, if you take a break every few solves and play a bit or eat something, you'll get really fat and become a couch potato, but at least your hands will have time to rest.

I've been cubing for 1yr 2mth and I average 17-18 secs
I had a good avg. going today :) It went 13, 16, 16... and progressively worse until I got a 25 secs solve xD
BTW I only very rarely get +20 so that was just like o.0

I don't care that I am below the average time-speed for how long I have been cubing :) I'm above that line in penspinning
