I'm a beginner and I can do the beginner's method. I got Dan Harris's book the other day and I'm working my way through the 3x3x3 chapters to try and improve my time.

In table 4.5b on page 31 I can't follow the algorithm in the final example (Adjacent edge swap) because in the middle there is the number '1' which appears twice. This number does not appear in the notation section so I don't know what it means. Can someone please tell me?

Many thanks,
Phil

Thank you very much.

Believe it or not I did search first for 'Dan Harris' but only one or two non-relevant entries came up. Anyway, it's good to have a complete list of all the mistakes.

One of the posters on the thread you referred me to mentioned learning just from this site. Is there a tutorial section then on the current best technique?

That's a good book to start from, but the resources on the web and on this site are better I think.

I’m finding in Dan Harris’s book on pg. 58-59 for help on the 3x3x3 the notation of lower case r and r’ sometimes next to R as in r’R2... what is that!?!
