I was pretty sick this week so I only had two cubing sessions which were very small. Due to that I don’t have high expectations for tomorrow. Based on how I was solving last weekend here is my,
Mains and Goals for Waterloo Autumn Favorites 2023:
3x3: I will be maining the Mystic YS3M BC and my goals are a sub 16 average and a PR single.

4x4: I am maining the Ausu WRM and I am going for a sub minute average and a sub 57 single.

3x3 OH: I am maining the Mystic YS3M BC and am going for a sub 27 average and a sub 26 single.

2x2: I am hoping for a sub 5 average and hoping for any PR but realistically that won’t happen. I’m maining the YJ MGC.

Pyraminx: I am maining the Moyu RS Maglev and am going for a sub 11 average.

Ok… This competition went amazing

First event I competed in was OH and it went pretty poorly. I was pretty nervous and the scrambles weren’t very good so I only got a 30.60 average and a 27.10 single.

Second event I competed in was 4x4 and that was the highlight of the competition!! I was slightly concerned that I would choke and not make cutoff but I managed to do so with a 56 with double parity!!! Second solve I got another 56 with double parity! Third solve went amazing when I got a 52!! Fourth solve was nothing special with a 1:01. Final solve I finished of the average with a 56 leaving me with a 56.47 average!!

Third event I competed in was 3x3 and I didn’t feel nervous at all. I was feeling pretty confident before competing because I got a 13.62 ao25 in while warming up before the round. First solve I got a 14.91 which was pretty standard solve. Second solve I got a 17 which was my worst solve. Third solve I got an extra because my judge was talking during my solve. On the extra I got a 13.62 PR single!! Forth solve I got a 12.71 one. Last solve I got a 16.39 giving me a 14.97 average!!! I finally got the official sub 15 average I have been wanting since June!

Then in Pyra I hadn’t practiced at all and got a 8.2 average PR as my warmups and somehow made finals. I didn’t go though because I had to leave.

I messed up 2x2 do to a + 2 on the final solve but I don’t really care about 2x2.

Got to hang out with a lot of cool people and had a lot of fun!
Definitely my best comp yet.

As the title suggests I am trying to beat my PB single of 9.22 that has stood since May. For the last few days I have been grinding 3x3 on both the US3M and Standard RSV5 to try to break it.
Here is how it has gone:
Best single: 9.34. OLL skip but PB fail because of half a second T-perm recon.
I also have had several 10s
Around a dozen 11s
Two-three dozen 12s
Countless 13s

Hopefully I can break it before the 2024!
