- CFOP: Cross, F2L, OLL, PLL (it's the most popular advanced speedsolving method at the moment)
- Cross: solving all the edge pieces on one layer
- F2L: First 2 Layers (pretty self-explanitory)
- OLL: Orientation of the Last Layer; solving the last layer side after solving F2L by solving corner-edge pairs and inserting them into their solved positions.
- PLL: Permutation of the Last Layer; switching around the already oriented last layer pieces to finish solving the cube.
- Algorithm: A sequence of turns to solve some part of the cube.
- COLL: A CFOP subset where you solve the last layer corners completely during OLL, typically used when the 4 edge pieces are orientated correctly.
- Corner twist: when you accidentally twist a corner piece during a solve, meaning at some point during the rest of your solve you'll have to turn it (or another corner) back.
- Pop: when you're solving/turning a cube and a piece pops out
