Cubing Media Appearances

Cubing and media don't go well together. If I am asked to be on T.V or in the newspaper again I will say no.

Whenever the paper wants to interview me, I ask if they can send the article ahead of time so I can proof read it and correct any misunderstandings they have. It's worked quite well.

Don't generalize something just because you failed at it.

:p

lilkdub503: I just don't like it. The newspaper article done on me was really bad.
I remember something about a radio...:p Though I didn't really here your voice, you barely spoke. Trying to find link to podcast...

Edit: Can't find the radio interview, but found an article and I quote

"Feliks, who's in year 8 at St Kevin's College, is part of a small but committed network of cube enthusiasts who chat regularly on the internet and meet for competitions. Feliks is one of the youngest "cubers", and one of the fastest."

Lol

Here's the link http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/vi...biks-cube-genius/story-e6frf7kx-1225720004320

Edit: Funnily enough, this is actually how I got into cubing. That video. I then typed "How to Solve a Rubik's Cube" in on Google and got Pogobat's tutorial.

That's a really great idea. If I'm ever interviewed for an article about cubing for whatever reason, I will definitely remember that.

Yeah the radio thing was so bad.

"Cube enthusiasts", and they put quotations on "cubers". This will make people get away from cubes. This is the kind of thing that makes people think cubers have to be smart. They might be smart, but it really doesn't have much to do with cubing.
