Hi all,
just sharing some personal experiences:
after Dutch Championship I desided not to cube for a week (due to my bad times but that doesn't matter). Now I managed not to touch a cube for a week long which was not too hard, so I guess cubing is not a real addiction for me
But now I've started cubing again my times are very bad and I notice my fingertrick skills are worsened more that I thought they would, here are my first 12 times after a week not cubing: 22.31, 25.14, 23.03, 20.58, 20.09, 23.36, 21.78, 20.62, 25.12, (32.19), (17.61), 20.36=>22.24 avg. Where I normaly would have something like 15/16/17 on average... Also I notice my hands feel a bit 'stif' not very flexible... Anyone else who did such a thing?

Yeah.. Every time I start cubing after taking a break, I fear that I lost my 'touch'. But in the end, the good shape always came back.

yeah it always comes back eventually...might take a bit of time to get back in the zone but it'll happen.
for the stiff hands try cubing right after taking a hot shower--lol, i dunno, but it works for me...

cubing with cold hands isn't too fun...

also your fingers just need time to get used to the cube too. at first you'll have more lockups and whatnot because your muscles forgot just how much force they need to exert...

sometimes i feel like i'm breaking the cube in again too...but it could just be my fingers.
